Quadcade Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 19, 2026 Last updated: April 19, 2026
Summary
Quadcade does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.
The only data that leaves your device is your high score — and only when you have iCloud enabled, in which case it syncs privately between your own Apple devices, and/or if you are signed in to Game Center and choose to submit to the leaderboard. Neither the developer nor any third party ever receives that number attached to your identity.
Information We Collect
None. Quadcade is a puzzle game that does not:
- Collect personal information of any kind
- Use analytics, crash reporters, or telemetry
- Track you across apps or websites
- Display advertising
- Use third-party SDKs that collect data
- Request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, calendar, or any other system data
Local Data
Quadcade saves a small amount of game state on your device using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage so the game remembers things between sessions:
- Your best high score
- Your sound on/off preference
- Your colorblind-mode preference
- Your Reduce Motion override
- Your power-up inventory state
- Whether you have seen the first-time instructions and power-up tooltips
Deleting the app removes this data entirely.
iCloud Sync
If your device has iCloud enabled for this app, Quadcade syncs a single number — your best high score — via Apple’s NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore. This lets the game remember your high score across your own Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The value is stored in your own iCloud and is visible only to you and Apple. The developer cannot see it.
You can disable iCloud sync for Quadcade at any time via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
Game Center
Quadcade integrates with Apple’s Game Center for the high-score leaderboard. If you are signed in to Game Center, the game can submit your score to the leaderboard under your Game Center identity. This is handled entirely by Apple. Our app does not see or store any Game Center account data; we only submit the number via the system API.
You can sign out of Game Center or disable it for this app at any time via Settings → Game Center.
Children’s Privacy
Quadcade is suitable for all ages and complies with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR-K) by virtue of collecting no information from anyone, regardless of age.
Third-Party Services
Quadcade uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs. The game depends only on Apple’s first-party frameworks (SpriteKit, UIKit, AVFoundation, Core Haptics, CloudKit KVS, GameKit).
Changes to This Policy
If a future version of Quadcade ever begins collecting additional data, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be noted here with a new “Last updated” date.
