How to Play
Tap a column to drop the next stone into it. When four or more same-value stones touch (4-directionally connected), they merge into the next tier. Chains cascade for exponential score multipliers. Reach 4,096 to WIN, 16,384 for LEGENDARY, and there’s one more rung beyond that to discover.
Combo Meter
Consecutive drops that produce at least one merge build your combo multiplier:

A drop that produces no merges shatters the combo back to ×1.
Named Feats
Certain plays fire a named bonus on the spot:
- DOUBLE / TRIPLE / QUAD — two, three, or four merges on a single drop
- CHAIN-3 / CHAIN-4 / CHAIN-5+ — cascades that reach 3, 4, or 5+ steps deep
- COMBO MAX — the first time you hit combo streak 6 in a run
- PERFECT CLEAR — the board is completely empty after a drop resolves
Most feats pay a score bonus; the bigger ones also drop a bomb.
Power-Ups
- Undo — revert your last drop. Earned immediately; cools down for 8 drops after use.
- Wildstone — closes a cluster of any tier. Tap to arm, then drop it. A sparkles glyph appears on columns where it would merge. Earned at 1,000 and 2,000 score, capped at 2.
- Bomb — removes a single stone. Tap the bomb button to arm, then tap any stone on the board. Earned at the 256 milestone, on every 1024 you create, and on QUAD / CHAIN-4+ / PERFECT-CLEAR feats. Cap starts at 2 and grows: 3 after WIN, 4 after LEGENDARY.
Settings
Tap the Menu button (bottom-left) to access:
- Colorblind Mode — adds distinct shape overlays to every tier
- Reduce Motion — honors the system accessibility setting; can also be toggled per-app
- Leaderboard — view the Game Center leaderboard
- How to Play — re-read the quick-start anytime
- Restart Game — start a fresh run
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sync my high score across devices? Quadcade syncs your high score via iCloud automatically. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID on both devices and that iCloud is enabled for Quadcade in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
How do I see the leaderboard? Open the in-game Menu and tap Leaderboard. You’ll need to be signed in to Game Center.
What happens if I lose internet mid-run? Nothing — Quadcade is fully playable offline. Your high score syncs to iCloud and Game Center the next time you’re online.
The combo badge disappeared. Why? Any drop that doesn’t produce at least one merge shatters the combo back to ×1. That’s the risk/reward tension — keep making merges to keep the multiplier alive.
Why did my wildstone button light up but then the hint wasn’t there? The wildstone hint only appears when you arm the wildstone by tapping its button. Once armed, columns where it would close a cluster show a magenta glow with a sparkles icon. Tap the column to play it, or tap the button again to cancel.
Does Quadcade collect any data? No. Quadcade collects zero personal data, has no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Your high score and preferences stay on your device; high scores optionally sync via iCloud and optionally submit to the Game Center leaderboard. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
